Me and my fiancée took a two week trip across 14 states and 3,000 miles. We saw beautiful sites across the east. Long flat planes in Ohio. High mountains in Tennessee and many other states. What started as a business trip turned out to be a much needed road vacation. In bowling green Kentucky we stopped in at the corvette museum. That's a must see if y'all ever in that area. To many cars to descride but one is worth mentioning. On July 2nd 1992 around 2 o'clock the 1 millionth corvette came off the assembly line. Now what's so special this is my fiancée was born on July 2nd 1992 at 12 noon. Yes were young she's 19 I'm 21 lol. No my dad does not pay for my stuff I buy it through hard work. Along the trip we drove some treacherous roads in the mountains. The sharp winding curves and rough parths didn't phase the SRT suspension as much as I thought it would have. The car performed beautifully. Stopped in Gatlinburg TN for two nights enjoyed the town and went to dollywood. Then went to my hometown in little rock Mississippi. Saw some old friends I grew up with, and watched my brother get really drunk. Been home for 6 days now and tomorrow I'm heading out again with the challenger. That is without a doubt the best road trip car. Yes it puts miles on it. Yes it does some wear and tear. But cars like that need to be shared with the world. It's not a trophy to be kept in a garage to never see the world. Unlike the mustang the challenger is a true American muscle and what better way to travel. Next summer I'm
thinking about taking a trip to LA by going down old route 66. Then out to that road that vanishing point was filmed on.

So that's where you've been, lol. Sounds like a great time, hauling on Route 66 to LA would be pretty awesome. If you make it happen let us know, several of us are up here in Amarillo and can meet you for dinner etc.

I agree that the Challenger is a great touring car. Most people put it in the same class as the mustang and camaro, it is in a class of its own. It is a larger car and that extra size bodes well for long trips. blcd74 and myself took Ruby, his 09 Challenger R/T, from Amarillo to Vegas and back thru Phoenix...the car did great.

I'm sure that will be a trip you and your fiancee will always remember, esp the part about the corvette and her birthday...We had an AAM guy head out with his family to dollywood, weather is supposed to be a bit more temperate there, lol.

I hope ya'll get to take many more road trips...they make for great memories.

I appreciate man hey might make a road trip up there one day. We were suppose to get some work but we didn't get it. Also my trip back up got put on hold might be going to Shreveport instead. And the tempertures were very nice in gatlinburg 70s and 80s mostly. They had a cold front come through right before we got there so it was incredibaly nice. Oh and my fiancée had to stop and get a shot glass from every state we went in. I bet you she spent 50 bucks in shot glasses. I told her if I ever get rich I'll buy that corvette for her, lucky for me that ain't never gonna happen so I don't have to worry about that lol.

Haha, never know, might wind up with thick pockets and a vette in the garage with your SRT. Amarillo is right on 66, so if you make the trek keep us posted. We can meet you at the Big Texan and bring out some cars for you to check out as well.

Hell when I get some time off I may come up to Amarillo. Meet you all and see what the town is like. Hell if you ever in the Denton area again let me know. I live right by UNT campus so I'll meet up with you easily.

If I can ever get a weekend off I'll come up there. Btw getting a diablo tuner for the car tomorrow or Friday. Getting it off a friend of mine for 200 bucks. He's selling his SRT8 so I'm gonna get his tuner. He also has some GT styling black out tail light kit. If you know anybody that's wanting some let me know I'll tell him. There just covers and i think they snap right on it's quick and easy installation.

Cool, is it a Predator or a Trinity? I'll keep my ears open to anyone looking for the blackout.
