Well, I was prepared to just thank everyone for voting and trying their best to help make this happen...but I don't need to do that anymore.
I need to thank everyone for doing that and helping Destiny bring home the 2013 Top Eliminator Online honors!
I am still a bit shocked and very humbled. I've had a lot of people ask "what did you win" and to be honest I don't know what, if anything. I do know that this means a lot to me personally and is a huge honor. I've always believed there are people that use cars as a hobby, and people that take that a step further and make it a lifestyle. As most of you know, the M10 has been my daily driver almost every day since picking it up (mainly just avoid the big snows, or hail threats). It has been a great time and miles of smiles. Dyno pulls, track days, getting groceries, even driving to work on a rainy day...I got the car to enjoy and that is what I do...
In addition to being a big personal honor, I truly hope this will help bring some attention to the Mopar 10 Registry and help us track down some of those "hidden" M10s that rarely come out, or are in the hands of collectors etc. The goal remains the same: Document all 600 (can't stress enough, I include the Canadians here!), set up local, regional, and eventually national meets.
I tested out an online form and database for this year's Chryslers in the Canyon V Pre-Registration and it seemed to work very well. I plan to build as comprehensive of a form as possible to help document the M10s. I'll then transfer the base info over to the forum so we can keep tabs on everything. I hope to have all of that lined up by December or early January.
I appreciate everyone who voted, tried to vote, and spread the word...Not many cars could "share a win" but I believe that is the case here! The M10 was virtually perfect from the factory, and just left the door open for a few subtle, custom touches. With Destiny taking home the title, it truly is like a win for all of us...maybe a bit more for my fellow Blue-Striped Mopar 10's but with only 599 more running around, I think we can collectively share this one!
Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen! It is a great time to be driving a Mopar 10
