Went to Heartland Park in Topeka KS for street legal drag night in Sep 2011. My 162 is all stock, ran consistent low 14's at 100. 14.1 to 14.3, 99.9 to 101, a few runs 14.3-14.4 at 98-ish. Made about 25 runs total, gave as good as I got. Beat a tuned & cammed 6 speed 6.1 SRT8 when he slipped, and when he got traction I lost (ha ha). I also beat a tuned & cammed 4.6 mustang once, he slipped off the line too. Next time I lost with him too, both the 4.6 and the 6.1 were typically in the mid 13's. It was fun, and a learning experience. Launches were at about 1500 rpm, just to take the tension off the drive line, no major brake torques. 60' times were a little over 2 seconds, just a fun night. Raced a couple of guys running in the 12's and had a nice view of their tail lights. Sure, I could do a cat-back and 93 tune and void the power train warranty in doing so (so saith the prophecy of the Dodge dealer), but why for? Running around town and cornering the "tuners" cant keep up with me anyway, as I think the 5.7's midrange torque evens things out. Raced an Audi TT through Kansas City and when I finally went around (as he was exiting) I got a thumbs up; every time he got ahead a little I just laid my foot into it and crawled right back up behind him. Been around a lot of off and on ramps and walked away from plenty of "bad ass" daimlers and beemers, they ain't shown me squat. Naturally I leave the porsches and vettes alone (go figure). I imagine with an experienced driver in my car it would pull 13's the way it is, and when you shut off the traction control with the "key trick" you can drift the car (or rather an expert could, I don't happen to be one). :D

Very nice, how many miles did you have at the time? That is about what I was running here (Amarillo), but I don't even think I'd hit 1000 miles yet. The car picked up as the year went on, but I never got to run it. I have pulled a few cars that use to outrun me...coming off the line from a dead stand still the M10 hooks very well with the STP.

I am hoping to hit the track once it opens and see if I can't improve on the early times. I figure we are close in elevation. I know there was a stock M10 in Florida running low 13s.

A catback won't void the warranty and a tune can be pulled with no trace...But like you said, as is the cars are great, solid performers. I have taken corners (which are hard to find here) very hard and it is like riding on rails...I think a lot of people will never get to push their M10 in that manner...At least you've got good tracks up there. Keep us posted on any updates!

Hi all fellow M10 owners,

I completed my second time at the track with my Mopar 10.
Times were a bit over the place with most being in the mid to high 13's mainly due to traction loss.
Last two runs for the day with big burn outs resulted in a 13.3 then a 13.2 @ 105 mph
This is on my street tires at 25psi.
My M10 has Long tube headers, non cat mids, tranzformer shift reprogram (shifted at 6k each time) and a Hemi fever tune. ESP was off.
I had hoped to get into the high 12's but I don't think this car will do it unless I do some other mods (I'm not even sure slicks or D/R will et it in to the 12's).
A 5.0 Mustang was running 12.9 consistently so it was a bit sad he was beating me but that's life.
I was out to see how it would do and get to know the car more than anything so I achieved that.

Your thoughts, feedback or experiences appreciated.

Mine has been down two tracks in the heat of summer and I had high 13s to low 14s stock...

You could pop for some slicks and see what you can pick up...

Sadly, the HP wars escalated quickly...put the M10 against 2010 and back cars and you'll be much happier...jump up a few years and stock offerings have surpassed our output.

Would be nice to have some ETs from a few of the SuperCharged guys.

I'm way up elevation wise, but I remember a guy on the coast claiming low 13s and high 12s several years back.
