That is sad...I figured a few people would try to flip them, but not sure what their logic is now.
I think a lot of people fail to realize that the new Challengers prob won't be bringing crazy money at auctions for decades. Granted, we have a big leg up with a limited run divided 3 ways and being the FIRST Mopar badged vehicle, but still.
I think you either get this car to drive and enjoy, or park it with a collection.
60s-70s Mopars dropped from MSRP to the point they would go for a couple hundred...as they got crushed the price climbed a bit...then people reliving their youth and collectors caught up with the enthusiast base and sent prices upwards. Some cars always held a nice price, but in my opinion you should never enter the car hobby planning on buying and selling to make a profit.
If you don't enjoy the car, or would be content having it stay in your collection it is prob best to not buy in the first place.
If all goes well this car will stick with me for years...I'd only sell it if I had to (medical, big time financial issue etc).
Hopefully, if nothing else, the cars will wind up with great owners that will register here
