Has anyone lowered their M10? What kit did you use? I've got two points of interest to explore:
1. I'm interested in seeing how the kits impacted quarter mile times...
The STP our cars feature is to help get the power to the ground...In the case of Auto owners we have the Nivomats which basically mean that to lower the car we have to spend more money to replace them (self-levelling)...
I have wondered if there was any significant gain/loss in 60 ft times from the swap...in theory the lower center of gravity should help on the top end, but by the 60 ft mark I would think it would still be negligible.
I look at it as a conventional leaf spring Mopar vs Super Stock Springs vs "de-arched" springs...you get the look you want with one or the other, but the SS springs will hook better. Then again with traction control it may be a moot point.
The more I see that "giant" gap between the rear wheel well and the fender lip the more it is starting to bother me (plus this is something I felt the factory should have done)...However, if that gap keeps me 0.15 quicker than the stock and lowered suspension Challys I can probably live with it...
2. The guys locally (both Eibach) had to resort to low profile jacks and have issues with odd situations (ramps to get up a curb at a car show etc)...I'm wondering if it is any of an inconvenience for you? I could use a new jack...the old craftsman never really worked quite right and my other jack is the el-cheapo that seems to out perform the expensive counterparts.
I originally planned to do coil overs, but was told by a parts guy in Dallas that all the guys there had to fully crank them up to avoid scraping etc...roads here would be about the same.
