I am curious if anyone has purchased after market caliper covers to hide the ugly calipers that came stock on our M10's? I found that Dodge has covers available at about $280.- that are blue & say mopar in black across the face. I figure these will work good for those of us with blue stripes, I have seen other after market covers available through other manufacturers that can be ordered silver or red that will work for M10's with those color stripes. They were more expensive but had challenger imprinted across the face. Let me know how they fit if anyone has purchased them. Since we don't have the Brembo brake package I think the need something to improve the look. Hope are surviving the winter. Unfortunately #405 has crossed the 30K mile mark! :(

Tex has a vid on painting your calipers on this site. A kid at work with a 09 Challenger bought some red covers for $110, they look like cheap covers to me, I think I'm going to go with the paint. Just my opinion.

Red Stripe, 134

Yeah, I was miffed when they launched those covers after our cars...

That said, I've always been leery of the covers due to heat not dissipating etc. There are enough people with them now that I would think that if it was a big issue someone would be griping.

I'm kind of like n2blues...they just don't look as good as a painted caliper to me...

I saw some in Vegas and was not impressed. From a distance I think they'd give off that big 6 piston look but up close they aren't as imposing...

I would either get the big brakes OR paint the calipers and save the money...you can do that yourself in a few hours and only be out minimal cash.

That said, I don't think I've seen the Mopar ones in person...they'd prob look pretty good on the blue striped cars regardless...You might try to find a set to inspect in person before popping for them.

FWIW you can get stickers printed that are heat resistant for your calipers etc. That way you could customize the text, add your #, etc.

If you go with them let us know how you like them and include some pics!

I tend to agree with the group. Unless you have a big brake kit, it's really not worth buying caliper covers. I've seen it done both ways, however feel painted calipers look the best. Unless you're going with the stripe color, black or dark grey look best in my opinion.
