I realize there is a separate place for this discussion however I want some quick comments on this.



I did not buy the interior care leather package dodge tried to sell me for 2500 additional dollars.

They said no problem but my seats would crack in one year especially if a I use the heated seats.

I have never used the heated seats and don't plan on it.

Comments...I don't want the seats to crack but need some advice on other leather options. Obviously not winter driven...

Wow, I did not know they'd offer a $2500 leather care package, lol...I do not blame you for passing...that would basically have covered new seat covers anyway.

I just try to keep the sun out (sunshade) and when I wash the car I will use a leather cleaner and conditioner...any brand will do, but make sure it is for leather and not an "all in one." I have heard of original owners who have used saddle soap on their seats (late 60s-early 70s) with great results. The seats will eventually crack over time, but I'm pretty sure you won't have an issue with it for many years with basic care.

I personally use Zaino products for the M10...so far, so good. On my 01 Ram I have used the Turtle Wax Leather Conditioner since day 1 and the seats have yet to crack...the dash is another story, but the front leather buckets feel great.

Yea , I didn't know about that PAC either ,and no one offered it to me either than I would have said no to it as well I'm not trying to sell any thing what you use is up to you , I use and like - Meguiar's Gold Class -

I like and use Meguiars also, I think it'll be a long time before it starts to crack. Just take care of it and limit the sun exposure.

just keep em clean and conditioned, just like a saddle. my 09 ram with heated seats sets outside and have had no problems of drying out. Sold my 69 Lincoln mark III in 07, the seats were starting to show creases and you could tell where the thin spots were, but no cracking. good leather is a lot tougher than they say it is, they just want to make $ off of what you can buy at Wally World

No, I didn't know him, but I saw a few Mark III's down there. I sold mine back in Kansas before I moved down there.
As for the 2 ton doors, I think back then if they wanted to make a 2 door, they just welded the front and back doors together and called it good.

Just thought I'd check...there are still a few around, just don't see them out as often. That car was heavy, lol...He had it in the ICCA show, or whatever that group is called that does concourse judging.

The 69's weigh in at 5053lbs, and are 18' long. that was also the last year of the 385 hp 460. once you got her moving, she'd run all day at 145. You just had to remember you had 4 wheel drums for brakes.
