Interesting update...

Got a call from a guy with Chrysler checking to see how I liked the car and the Owner's Kit (and making sure I had actually received the owner's kit, lol).

I got to give my take that if the car was to mimic the T/A and AAR that the factory should have at least dropped them with MP springs (if not coilovers) and thrown on a catback. I stressed that would be the route to go within reason, although I would have personally liked to have seen a slightly different cam profile than your stock 5.7. I nearly went into side exit exhaust and brakes, but didn't want to completely alienate the guy, haha.

I did finally got to vent to someone in the inner circle about the stock stereo...I always compare it to a Caliber rental car or Grand Caravan destined for taxi duty to get their attention and drive home the point...he said he would run that by engineering, maybe the system will get phased out...a great service to all who might acquire a Mopar with the base stereo!

As bad as that sounds I was extremely positive, basically told him if it wasn't for the lackluster stereo that I couldn't say anything bad about the car, and explained my logic for getting the base stereo with the nav upgrade planned etc.

I guess with that on his mind he ventured into the concept behind the car and how many were fighting for the M10 to sport the 392....however, as with the vette limiting f-body potential a few years ago, the SRT came into play. They wanted to price the Mopar 10 between a loaded R/T and a base SRT. They felt that if the 6.4 was offered in the Mopar 10 people wouldn't have incentive to buy the SRT (not sure I agree with that when you factor in the launch of the 392 and all the extras on even a basic SRT, but oh well). He also spoke of how there was debate to make "a lot more" of the Mopar 10s, but it was finally decided that with the package they would keep it at 500.

I naturally asked if there was going to be a Mopar 11 (you know, one that comes standard with a trick suspension, HIDs, Nav, a kick ass stereo, and a catback) and he said there were signs of building a Mopar 11, just not sure on what platform and that when he last brought it up to someone he just received a blank stare?!

Now for the good stuff...I don't have complete stats, just what he could present that was in front of him...I did mention I would like a complete breakdown on options, even if it was raw data that could be broken down for the greater good...who knows, maybe I'll get it at some point, but here are some higlights.

In Canada the RARE M10 is the one with Silver Accents, he claimed that 3 were built with Automatics and 6 with Manuals.

Here stateside I got the inisght that Red Accented M10 is the least common as 115 were built, 74 with Automatics and 41 with Manuals. I got no info on US Silver Accented M10s, but based on the count of Blue Accented M10s I can say it should be 130 units, just not sure on the breakdown.

There are 255 Blue Accented Mopar 10s, 160 Automatics and 95 Manuals.

I am really hoping to get some insight on further breakdowns (and maybe a good stereo ).

I thought some folks might like the breakdown info he had so here it is in color:

Canada

Silver M10: Nine
-Automatic: Three
-Manual: Six

United States

Blue M10: 255
-Automatic: 160
-Manual: 95

Red M10: 115
-Automatic: 74
-Manual: 41

Silver M10: 130
-Automatic: ??
-Manual: ??

Hey Lance, I'm sure the guy from Chrysler didn't expect the amount of feedback you gave. LOL Way to go...

I'm also sure that the ONLY thing that will be considered MoPar10 on your car (a year, or two from now) will be the exterior color & Stripe package. LOL When are you going to release your Mod list?

Enjoy the Ride...
