As some of you know, we bought our ride from Huffines Dodge in Lewisville. That is also where Tony and I helped Lance get his Mopar 10. I haven't been excited about their service dept., and have been using Grapevine Dodge for oil changes and warranty work. We have made friends with several of the good people at GVD. Allen, and Rod are the main ones we deal with. But we have met others.
Now for the Good News!!!!! Allen has made the move to Classic Dodge here in Denton!!!!!!!He has brought several of his co-workers from GVD, and is in the process of trying to get Rod from parts as well. We found out by accident this morning. My wife didn't feel like driving all the way to GV this morning for her oil change and Allen met her at the service drive at Classic. The drive for service and oil changes just got extremely shorter as Classic is only about 3 miles from my home.
If your in need of service or parts Classic is about to be the place, if your in this area. Hell I was driving 20 miles one way to Grapevine Dodge just because Allen and Rod worked there. These two are really Mopar guys at heart, and love modding as much as we do. My wife and I are looking forward to our oil changes now, and won't hesitate to take our pride & joy in for service.

Thanks for the update...I've got some parts coming from Rod, best price around. I'll keep getting parts where ever he is at and if I ever need service I'll plan accordingly. That's the one thing I despise about new cars, all the activation crap that can only be done by a dealer etc...Get back to the old school cars and you don't have to rely on anyone for that stuff, that is how I prefer things.

Hey Ted, Thanks for posting-up the info.
I found out a couple weeks ago that Alan had gone to Classic Dodge. But, I was torn because Rod (the Parts Guru) and Doug (the Performance Pit-Boss) were still at Grapevine. I'll have to roll up to Denton and check out Alan soon.
Denton is an aweful long way for Rod to drive to work (from Garland/East Dallas), but the traffic should be less challenging driving North. If he does go there (and especially Doug) I'll have to unplug from Grapevine all together.
The quality of workmanship is dropping fast at Grapevine. Alot of the guys that brought them their Great Rep have left, or they planning to leave. (There was a major change in their compensation and the company doesn't advertise.) Just the other day I had my car damaged twice while having my wheels & tires changed (DAMN-madd). I received a gouge in the driver-side door jam, and a Dent on one of my wheels (on the spoke). By the way; the kid working on the wheels & tires is Brand New. I'm waiting to hear from Rusty (the Operations Manager) to see what he's going to do...
I welcome the opportunity to go a dealeship that will treat my car the way I do (or better).

Sorry to hear that Tony. I just hope I never need dealer service too bad, lol. As long as I can get parts from Rod I will probably just try to do everything myself.
A few guys have decent luck at All Star up here, they just seem to have a hard time getting parts in on a timely manner...which probably isn't their fault. It is amazing what one or two really good guys can do for a dealership/service dept. No one ever really realizes what they meant to the company until they are gone...
