I concur with this write-up. When I bought my Challenger RT back in May 2009 (one week before Chrysler went Belly-Up), I chose it instead of the SRT. Only because I want to drive this car like it should be driven (I want good HP and decent MPG), and not made into a museum-piece by spending more time in the garage than on the highways. I love the SRT's, and for the life of me; I don't understand why the car jumped up $8 to $10K from the time it was released to the public. Let-alone have an additional charge for the crazy MoPar Colors ( Furious Fusia, B5 Blue, GWE, Plum-Crazy, or Yellow Jacket, etc...). I would prefer paying EXTRA money for actual performance items that authenticate it as a Retro-MoPar. With that being said; I do agree with Lance about making it with a "Shaker", or a FUNCTIONAL "T/A" hood, or the AAR Cuda Hood... To show how serious I am about what I just said; here is a photo of my RT (Shaker makes a major difference). Yeah, I paid for the items I mentioned through After-Market (Shaker & Hood). I think MoPar is missing the bus on this "Wish-List". Enjoy the Ride... |

we had a Yellow Jacket show up to Cars and Coffee in Leander(north of Austin). that is sweet car and he just picked it up. really stands out. |

Yeah, I am growing more and more leery of the factory. I see a disproportionate emphasis on profit over performance and quantity over quality, I'll still take it over brand-x, but I feel a lot of respect for the past has been lost with the German and Italian regimes. I know you've got sell cars to stay in business, but the blatant disrespect of the past that is the very foundation of the company kills me. The Yellow Jacket does look good in person...glad ya'll had good weather for both events! |
