March 2nd marks the anniversary of Texas Independence Day, a historic and important day which is often overlooked and forgotten.
In honor of this milestone we have selected Texas Independence Day to be the symbolic founding date for the official launch of Lone Star Mopars!
Lone Star Mopars (LSM) is a new, all Mopar site open to Mopars and their drivers from all eras. The goal is to provide a forum for the forumless and an overarching structure for folks to post up events that will hit a large, target audience. This of course goes hand-in-hand with cars, parts, and technical advice.
The site is set-up in two segments, the "Forum" and the "News" page.
The "Forum" will be a bulletin board set-up to provide for all your general Mopar needs. As the site grows it will continually evolve to take care of the needs of the membership base (ie club and vehicle specific forums etc). Lone Star Mopars is free to join! Similarly, no one will pay to remove ads (as is often the case on the late model Mopar sites).
Members can post their events and club information without fear of being censored, having topics or segments deleted, or being scolded by a group of moderators/administrators. Furthermore, instead of taking cold, hard cash from vendors we will instead fight for a substantial discount for all members.
This philosophy is essentially the polar opposite of what you see on most modern Mopar forums that seem to trump money over serving the membership base.
The "News" section will serve to highlight member's contributions in "how-to" and "tech" as well as serve to handle announcements and event recaps etc.
Lone Star Mopars has limitless potential and will no doubt be a benefit to everyone in terms of networking for events, parts, and cars.
Spread the good word. As we get more members we will custom-tailor the site to suit the needs of the active members to ensure the board meets your needs and is a place you want to frequent and post. Forums and websites are only as good as the people that actively take part in shaping the site; Lone Star Mopars wants you to be a part of that core group!
