The 16th Annual Mopar Fest will be held on June 18th, 2011, at Haynes Park in Rio Rancho, NM. This year we plan to have the best show ever, but we need YOU to make it a success! Yes, we want all members to bring out their Mopar rides, collect family and friends and come on out for a great day of beautiful cars, sun and fun. Here’s why you should attend this years show: THE CARS: The biggest collection of Mopar Muscle in New Mexico and surrounding states. Twenty classes of classic and modern Mopar cars, race vehicles, trucks, Vipers, customs and rare vehicles to make you drool all day long. Participant voting will determine awards for each class. We also have several specialty awards given out by the club as well as trophies given out by sponsors to their favorite vehicle of the day. The Venue: We have a great new venue at Haynes Park. All participant cars are parked in a large area with cool grass and some shade trees present. No blazing hot parking lot here! You can set up pop-up covers for shade to enjoy a beautiful day in the park. The covered Pavilion at Haynes Park acts as a great area for registration, announcements, music/PA, charity organizations, sales, award presentations and a focal point for show activities. In addition, Haynes Park offers other activities for the family and kids including a public swimming pool, basketball, tennis, bocce courts, horseshoe pits and more. New Tribute Group: This year we will have a special tribute to Plymouth AAR Cudas and Dodge Challenger T/A cars. The feature group of cars will be in a special display located front and center to highlight Mopar’s contribution to the Trans Am Series. Don’t miss this! Vendors: We will have several vendors to provide great food, drink, auto parts and services to keep you energized and entertained. More than Cars: There will also be a Mopar model & die cast show for young and old alike, charitable organizations you can support including United Blood Services, Blue Star Mothers, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters, door prizes throughout the day, and don’t forget the announcement of the winner of the Mopar Club car trailer raffle…who will win it this year? In addition, the Rio Rancho Fire Department will also be out with their equipment to support the show as well as the Rio Rancho High School ROTC to perform drills. We have done everything to make this the best Mopar show in the state, but it can’t happen without YOUR PARTICIPATION. Let’s not make excuses! We need all club members and Mopar enthusiasts in the region to mark June 18th on the calendar and attend this show. The more cars, the more people, the more fun and entertainment for all. Spread the word about our new show to Mopar owners and all car enthusiasts alike. Please help support your Mopar club and come on out to Haynes Park on June 18th. Let’s make this years show one to remember!
