I got a call from Tony (moparx2) yesterday regarding an e-mail he had sent...I got home and got to open it up to see the rough draft of a logo he has worked up....
Tony and Rod have long been renegades of sorts...not following along with the masses and kind of paving their own paths. Both have been on LSM since the early days, but are hoping to work up a new, loose alliance of Mopar enthusiasts just looking to have fun when they have time. At cruise-ins and shows people often have asked them if they are in a club...getting tired of answering "No" Tony just rattled off one day that they were in the Texas Renegade Mopars.
Recently at the Parts Depot GTG Rod suggest they just make things legit and get the ball rolling...
So, here they are...
The Renegade Texas Mopars.
The premise is basically the same as LSM...they have realized the mega-forums run by brand-x aholes, powered by excess ads, and funded by the ill advised who don't know any better than to pay for an avatar or forum rank aren't cutting it...The goal is to just have a rough calendar of events that members can add to and hopefully attend should they get that ever illusive bout of free time. No dues, no meetings, no bs...just an outlet to have fun, when possible in the busy life of what is a modern day Mopar enthusiast.
