This is a amazing story that I came across today that touched my heart along with many of the ones there. While doing a car show that was to benefit this charity I learned about it from the young girl who has started it. She is 15 years old and instead of asking for a new car or a big party for her 16th birthday on march 16th. She asked to help soldiers in need. Her goal is to raise 16,000 dollars to give to military families who are struggling financially. Military men and women who proudly served and is now finding it hard to make ends meat. To do this she is doing car shows in association jim fritts car shows to raise money. On September 11 2011 she is holding a car show at the Texas Motorspeedway. I know it's only a month from now but if any of y'all can make it I'm sure it would mean a lot to her and the families in need. There are over 2000 parking spots that will be available. So post this up on other forums and let people know. I know it's a long ways for many of y'all to drive and on short notice but I hope y'all can make it. To read morr about this charity go to her website operationsweet16.org

Is this the one that lets you make the really cheap pass around Texas Motor Speedway? If the weather is decent we might be able to get some cars down that way, thanks for posting. Great story for even greater cause....hopefully we can help her out!

I'll try to find out. There is the drag and brags on Friday night when you win you get to make a lap. Show and shine not sure when it is but winners of the car show make a lap together. This Friday night however is the last drag and brags. NASCAR formula1 and many other professional racing will start racing there soon they gotta get the track and all prepped.
It would be cool to see y'all at the track. Hope some of y'all can make it for this cause.
