We've got quite the weekend shaping up for AAM.
Friday night at Smokin' Amarillo Dragway there is a special TNT/Grudge race set-up. The owners are shelling out $100 to LOW ET. Amarillo Area Mopars, thanks to moparman63, will be matching that with $100 going to the fastest Mopar Street Car
Only requirement is you aren't a regular racer, and you run DOT tires. 50s HEMI, 60s Big Block, 70s Small Block, 90s Magnum, or new age HEMI...the $100 will go to the car with the lowest ET. Plus you can set up some nice "matched" races. Have you and your buddy been debating if his modified Charger R/T could take your factory fresh Challenger SRT8? What about the dropped Ram...think it'll break into the low 14s? Come out and find out...
This is all laid back and easy going. We will have several members out with cameras for pics and vids and might even have a GoPro to capture some HD vid you might just see on YouTube.
The gates will open at 5 PM and entry fees will likely be $20.
To top it off, the following day is our monthly Cruise Night where you can enjoy a parking lot full of Mopars from all eras. We routinely have 20-30 cars raning from 50s street machine and 60s muscle cars to late model Vipers and everything in between...best of all, it is FREE
