So you stepped on the gas and it didn't have the power or the throttle response you remember it having? Well before you kick the car cuss out loud or buy parts like I did try these tips. First off I can not take credit for them nor will I devulge where I got the information from unless given permission by the site founder.

First, if it's brand new it's not broken in yet and won't be till 500 miles and performance will improve up to about 2500 miles.

Secondly our ECU's are adaptable so if you have been granny driving a lot you need to reset it. Don't have a tuner to do it with well no problem.

Tip #1
Clear the PCM Adaptive Programming Memory sounds complicated but really it only takes about 2 minutes.

Open the cover on the IPM (Integrated Power Module or in lamest terms the fuse box under the hood) and pull Fuse F2 for a count of approximately
15 seconds resets the adaptives and makes you fast again.

Note: (according to a Chrysler tech with 25 years experience, only 15 seconds is needed to clear)
Here's what it does! Pulling Fuse 2 resets;

- All PCM DTCs erased.
- All OBD2 monitor results erased.
- All long term fuel trim adaptive values reset to Zero.

Make sure your car is turned off and the key is in your pocket while doing the pull.!

It is a 25 amp beige fuse !

After you clear the PCM get back in and go out and do some "SPIRITED" driving to get your Mopar accustomed to that type of driving !

Tip #2
You might try calibrating the throttle.

How To" to recalibrate the Throttle body"

Throttle calibration can substantially improve throttle responsiveness over "factory standard."

Many people notice what appears to be sluggish throttle response or a "dead area" at initial acceleration

Throttle calibration can take care of these issues.

Procedure steps:

1) Insert ignition key and turn to "ON" (not start). Or if you are push button hit it twice to go to "RUN"
2) Wait for all idiot lights to go out. Check Engine Light may remain on.
3) Slowly press the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor.
4) Slowly release the accelerator pedal until it's all the way back up.
5) Turn the ignition key to "OFF".
6) Start the engine.

Most drivers notice an immediate change in throttle response, but depending on your driving style, you may need to repeat this procedure periodically due to the computer's adaptive programming.

Now I tested these both and they work, they don't cost you a penny and you can do both in 5 minutes tops.

Hope this helps anybody whose noticed a change in there new model mopars performance

Very nice, thanks for the tips! One of our guys was complaining about his car surging at the track last night...up a tenth, down a tenth, said it took off, fell off, and picked back up.

No problem my car was feeling sluggish until 4,000 rpms in 1st gear. It was killing my 0-60 and 1/8th mile track times so I did both of those and it feels much better.
