As Seen on LSM Online Magazine: http://www.lonestarmopars.com/news/inde ... -mopartech

Ruby and Destiny have very similar mods, and short of stealing the keys to bone-stock Challengers, it is about as good a base as you can get for comparison. In these videos Ruby is running a factory exhaust and Destiny is sporting a custom Borla catback.

The other point of emphasis is the camera. As you know, most of us have to rely on online video clips to help make a decision on an aftermarket exhaust. The camera is often a big factor in how the sound waves are captured and portrayed. To help showcase this, we utilized two, great cameras: a GoPro HERO HD, and a Canon SX150 IS. Both are very good, but you will often notice subtle differences between the two on the exact same clip!
You might also be surprised just what your "factory" exhaust can sound like with a tune, a few supporting mods, and a heavy foot...These cars are very well insulated, I think the vids will show that very well.

*This first video positions the GoPro Hero at the starting point and the Canon SX150 a bit farther up the road. This allows us to capture the initial launch on the GoPro and then a drive-by sound clip at the Canon. Then, on the way back we get a launch sound from the Canon and a drive-by or shut down from the GoPro.

*This second video positions both the GoPro Hero and the Canon SX150 side-by-side. As you might have guessed, editing was a tedious progress, but the end result is one of the best comparisons for both the subtle differences between cameras AND more importantly the difference between factory and aftermarket exhausts on similarly modified cars. You get to see Ruby launch on the GoPro and then immediately after see the exact same launch as recorded by the Canon...It turned out very nice for comparison purposes. Remember, these cameras both have very good mics...
